Romania is ready to take over the presidency of the European Council; moreover, his non-entry into Schengen is an injustice - are the official statements of Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament. Unfortunately, the presence in Romania of a delegation of the European Parliament was overshadowed again by Opposition representatives. Instead of behaving as hosts, they used the occasion not to promote Romanias image in the world, but to denigrate it once more, as they have done recently, and through some MEPs. Although ALDE has proposed an agreement at the level of the political class that for the next six months, as long as Romanias mandate is to reach a consensus that will bring maximum benefit to our country, the opposition chose to continue to serve, says Simona Brătulescu, ALDE President Argeş. "I saw in the European Parliament how elected MEPs to represent their interests and to provide Romania with a favorable image, have fought to denigrate the image of their own country. Absolutely implausible, the washing of things in public with consequences that are hard to assess at this time has also been repeated in our country, the host of the European Parliament delegation this week. With an alarming unconscious, the Opposition jubilant again, choosing to disinform only to account for a few percent of the artistic impression. All the while, the President of the European Parliament, Mr Antonio Tajani, underlined that he appreciates Romanias progress, that it is an injustice that we have not entered Schengen so far and that our country is ready to adhere. At that moment, Mr. Tajani was more Romanian than our Romanian counter-term opposition. That Romania is on a good path and that our efforts are appreciated, I personally convinced myself two weeks ago, participating in the plenary meeting of the Council of Europe. The signal launched by the EC colleagues we have discussed is one that is as positive and optimistic as possible, "said Simona Brătulescu, president of ALDE Argeş.
